1ProblemUnderstand the challenge and why it matters.

An aerospace system can only complete a mission if its controls are predictable, testable, and safe. A rover, payload bay, launch gate, or ground support system must coordinate commands, sensors, actuators, and feedback to produce the intended behavior.

2ConceptLearn the engineering idea or skill.

A control system includes inputs, processing logic, outputs, and feedback. Engineers use these parts to describe how a system senses conditions, makes decisions, and acts on the environment.

3ApplyUse the skill in a guided task.

Choose one aerospace system and identify its inputs, outputs, control decisions, sensors, actuators, and possible failure points.

4DocumentRecord your evidence and decisions.

Create a labeled system map titled “Autonomous Aerospace Systems.” Include at least one open-loop action and one possible feedback-based improvement.

5ReviewCheck quality and identify your next step.

Your map should show that control systems are engineered around decisions, not just motion.
