  1. Remove interior components one at a time and record their orientation.
  2. Photograph or sketch the fully assembled rocket from multiple directions.
  3. Compare the final component record with the physical parts and confirm reassembly.
  4. Establish part labels, front/reference direction, and a parts tray.
  5. Remove exterior or easily accessible parts and record hardware immediately.

  3. Keep small parts organized in the order removed.
  4. Reassemble the rocket and note any step that was difficult to reconstruct.
