How simulator checkout works

1

Choose an open time

Only instructor-approved 30-minute slots are shown. A slot disappears once it has been reserved.

2

Complete orientation first

If you have not completed orientation, the system will reserve your selected time as an Orientation session.

3

Choose your session

After orientation, choose a 30-minute Free Flight slot or one of the instructor-scheduled guided sessions.

Orientation

First-Time User Session

  • 30 minutes
  • Required before independent simulator use
  • Includes controls, seating/setup, startup/shutdown, simulator care, and checkout expectations
  • Orientation is not considered complete until recorded by the instructor
Returning User

Free Flight

  • 30 minutes
  • Available only after orientation is complete
  • Use the simulator only during your reserved period
  • Leave the station ready for the next student
Returning User

Instructor-Led Session

  • Available only after orientation is complete
  • Offered on specific dates and times set by the instructor
  • Focuses on guided flight skills, procedures, or scenarios
  • Follow instructor directions for the entire scheduled session
Paper Flight Record

Student Flight Logs

Keep a paper record of Orientation and every instructor-led lesson. Bring your flight log to each session so the instructor can initial completed maneuvers and record your next step.

Orientation

First-Use Checklist

Record simulator setup, cockpit familiarization, basic aircraft control, and approval for future simulator use.

F.1-F.6

Lesson Flight Records

Each lesson has a matching aviation-style log sheet with maneuver checks, instructor initials, flight summary, and debrief.

Academy Record

Keep the Packet

Store completed pages together as your Academy flight-training record. Replacement packets can be printed by your instructor.

Student Reservations

Reserve Your 30-Minute Slot

Enter your information in the reservation window below. First-time users are automatically assigned Orientation. Returning users may choose Free Flight or an available Instructor-Led Session.

Reservation system setup in progress

The simulator reservation page is ready, but the Google Workspace reservation app still needs to be connected by the instructor.

Reservation Expectations

Use your reservation responsibly

Reserve only times you can attend. If you cannot attend, cancel the reservation so another student can use the simulator. Simulator access may be limited or suspended for repeated missed reservations or failure to follow simulator procedures.
