Insert and Rough-Position Rocket Components

Bring the major rocket parts into the assembly and place them in a recognizable starting arrangement.

  1. Insert the body and establish it as the assembly reference.
  2. Insert the remaining major parts from the correct files.
  3. Use move or align tools to place components near their intended locations.
  4. Inspect the assembly for missing or duplicated parts.

Quality check: Every required component is present once and oriented consistently with the rocket body.

Arrange the CAD steps used to create a stable initial rocket assembly.

Assembly Goal

Stable reference: The main body should remain fixed while other components are positioned relative to it.

Put the Steps in Order

  1. Insert the nose-cone component
  2. Align the component axes and contact faces
  3. Ground the main rocket body
  4. Move the nose cone near its intended location
