FabLab 3D Printer Certification
Before operating a classroom 3D printer independently, you must complete the existing LockwoodSTEM 3D Printer Certification. This lesson does not replace the certification process.
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Open the existing certification: Navigate to the current LockwoodSTEM 3D Printer Certification used by the class.
- Review required safety procedures: Pay particular attention to hot surfaces, moving printer components, material handling, print removal, failed prints, and when to ask the instructor for help.
- Complete all certification requirements: Finish every required question, demonstration, or approval step. Do not skip sections because you have used a 3D printer before.
- Verify your status: Confirm that your certification shows as passed/approved before attempting independent printer operation.
- Ask for correction if needed: If the system does not record your result correctly, notify the instructor before moving on.
