Review soldering station setup, burn prevention, fume extraction, tip care, wire/component prep, solder joints, inspection, and cleanup.

Step 2

Try a low-stakes practice quiz before taking the final online test.

Step 3

Pass the soldering online test, then complete the hands-on portion with teacher approval.

After passing the online test, complete a supervised soldering workflow. Your teacher will approve the hands-on portion from the teacher dashboard.

Set up the soldering station with ventilation/fume extraction.
Handle the iron safely and return it to the stand when not in use.
Prepare wire/component leads and use appropriate soldering technique.
Create an acceptable solder joint without bridges or cold-joint defects.
Inspect the joint and correct problems safely when directed.
Shut down, clean the station, and wash hands after handling soldering materials.
