Hands-on requirement

After passing the online test, complete a supervised soldering workflow. Your teacher will approve the hands-on portion through your classroom approval process.

Student must demonstrate

Set up the soldering station with ventilation/fume extraction.
Handle the iron safely and return it to the stand when not in use.
Prepare wire/component leads and use appropriate soldering technique.
Create an acceptable solder joint without bridges or cold-joint defects.
Inspect the joint and correct problems safely when directed.
Shut down, clean the station, and wash hands after handling soldering materials.

Teacher approval requirements

Online test score of 80% or higher
Teacher-observed hands-on completion
Safe independent readiness for supervised soldering
Proper inspection, shutdown, and cleanup habits
